What is a Brazilian Wax?
The Brazilian Wax was first performed in Brazil and, It was developed to cater for a type of G-string that had been designed in Brazil and required a particular style of hair removal. A Brazilian wax is the removal of all pubic hair from the front of the pubic area, including that of the anus. Some people however, do choose to leave a strip of hair often referred to as a “landing strip”. This is purely a personal choice and the therapist will ask you, prior to waxing, if you have a preference. However, the Brazilian price quoted is with or without a strip.
Prior to Sugar Wax Treatment
As a matter of hygiene, we request that all clients be freshly showered the day of treatment, paying particular attention to the bikini area. Please use soap around the area to ensure freshness. The wearing of the G-string provided is a matter of personal choice as this treatment may be performed without underwear if preferred. It is totally your decision.
It is recommended not to use creams, moisturisers, fake tan or oil on the skin before a treatment as these form a barrier which prevents gel from giving maximum results.
It is advisable not to use sun beds prior to a treatment or arrive with sunburnt skin.
Always check with your therapist before commencing your treatment if you are concerned about anything.

It is important to apply sunblock daily for 2 to 3 days following your treatment, this helps with the healing process.
It is important to exfoliate once or twice a week, this helps with the prevention of ingrown hairs. Most importantly do not use exfoliating products (AHAs, scrubs, etc) and loofas for at least 4 days after waxing as they might further irritate your skin.
Routine waxing helps the skin get accustomed to the procedure and may minimise irritation.
Follow the advice from your therapist at all times.
